You must hold an efile qualification to attend & benefit from this course. If you don’t hold this qualification, we have an efile course.

To attend our eFile Level One workshop, you must have a minimum of a Gel Polish qualification, already.

Being qualified in the use of an electric file could be a game-changer in your salon. Proper & professional use of an eFile not only shaves time off of your service lengths, it reduces the stress placed on your arm and adds an extra level of precision to your work.

Manual filing can take its toll on a nail tech and is the single largest cause of injuries such as RSI (Repetitive Strain Injury).

Our half day course gives you an accredited qualification which ensures you are insurable - a legal requirement when using an electric file in salons in the UK.

On the day you will learn:

• What makes a good eFile
• eFile, bits, shapes & material knowledge share & theory
• How to clean & disinfect your eFile bits
• Why & when to replace & replenish your eFile bits
• Debulking
• Removing colour
• Lifting
• Cuticle preparation
• Preparing the natural nail (with sanding bands)
• Refining the surface (with sanding bands)
• Refining the cuticle area
• Cleaning the underside of the nail
• Reducing the nail length

Alongside this, you will receive a bonus segment for reapplication and shaping. The content of this section will be undertaken using NU:gel system product but will also improve your basic understanding of generic gel application. 

You will not be required to purchase NU:gel before this course and can freely bring your own gel system.

This full-day classroom workshop will teach you to perform a combined manicure using a mix of eFile bits and manual tools such as nippers / scissors. The combi-prep technique gives a flawless result and is suitable for all clients, not to mention the time it saves. Along with covering the combi prep technique, we will also teach the correct application of 'builder-in-a-bottle' to a flawless finish without refining the surface.

During this workshop you will learn:

• Essential knowledge about diamond bits (grits, shapes, diameter etc)
• Correct speeds, angles & rotation
• Correct technique of lifting the skin and cleaning the cuticle area
• How to correctly use nippers and scissors 
• How to polish the skin
• How to apply builder-in-a-bottle to create a smooth surface without filing
• How to apply gel polish neatly & close to the cuticle area

Alongside mastering the art of BIAB application, you will hone your skills in perfect, smooth gel polish application - getting close to the cuticle are for the amazing WOW finish!
